Seasoned and Split Firewood

There is nothing like having a real wood fire in your fireplace! Dan Morris has been using firewood delivered by Rip Eason for years.  Dan wants to take the stress out of purchasing firewood by keeping it simple & affordable. You only need to become a Value Player!  For all your firewood needs you can order here and warmly benefit from purchasing another product from a Dan Morris Show endorsed company.

Rip cuts, splits and seasons the firewood personally. “Seasoned” means that the wood has been cut 20”-22” in length and split, then dried long enough to remove the moisture from it. Rip delivers, usually in 24 hours,  a mixture of Hickory and Oak that are easy to light and produce lots of flames, for a brighter, prettier fire in addition to making your fire last longer.

Size and dimensions

Full Cord: A full cord is a large amount of wood. It measures four feet high by four feet wide by eight feet long (4 ft. x 4 ft. x 8 ft.) and has a volume of 128 cubic feet. The amount of solid wood in a cord varies depending on the size of the pieces, but for firewood it averages about 85 cubic feet.

1/2 Cord: A half cord  is equal to a full size 8′ pickup bed stacked to the top of the bed. It measures two feet high by two feet wide by four feet long (2 ft. x 2 ft. x 4 ft.)  The bed of a standard long bed Ford F-250 measures out to slightly more than a half cord if the wood is stacked even with the top of the bed. This includes factoring in the space taken up by the wheel wells.

1/4 Cord: A Quarter Cord  is equal to a 1/2 of a full size 8′ pickup bed stacked to the top of the bed. The bed of a standard long bed Ford F-250 measures out to slightly more than a half cord if the wood is stacked even with the top of the bed. This includes factoring in the space taken up by the wheel wells.  The size is basically one row of logs, two feet high and a foot in length (1’x2’x1′)
